Your screen. Your sound.
Choose a tab, window or screen.
We’ll check the audio before you roll.
Hear what you’re capturing
Check shared sound and your microphone separately. Live meters show whether each source is returning a signal.
Your video stays yours
Recording and saving happen in your browser. No media uploads, account, analytics scripts or added watermark.
A file you can keep
Download in your browser’s supported format. MP4 when supported, WebM otherwise — always the actual file type.
From screen to saved file
Three steps.
One clear recording.
A small audio check now can save a second take later.
Choose your source and sound
Select a tab, app window or entire screen in the browser chooser. For tab audio on Windows, Chrome and Edge are a useful starting point. Enable Share audio in that chooser; turn on Microphone here if you want narration.
Check for five seconds
Play audio in the selected source and speak into your microphone. Review both meters. If a track is missing or silent, choose again or explicitly continue without detected sound. The check is not saved as a recording.
Record, review and download
Pause when you need a moment, resume and stop when you’re done. Smaller recordings have a local preview. Larger recordings save directly to a file in compatible browsers. Download before clearing your browser’s site data.

A few things before you record.
Can I record screen and system audio on Windows?
It depends on your browser, operating system and selected source. Desktop Chrome or Edge can offer tab audio, and some screen selections offer system audio. The browser controls those choices. This tool checks the tracks actually returned and shows a warning when selected audio is missing.
Is this a free online screen recorder with no watermark?
Yes. The recorder is free and does not add a watermark. You do not need an account or an extension. Your browser still requires screen-sharing permission each time you select a source. Local recording has safety limits, shown above and explained in the limits guide.
Does the recording get uploaded?
No. Screen and microphone media stay in your browser. Saved pieces use browser storage on this device until you remove them or the browser clears them. Visiting the website still sends normal web requests to its host; see the privacy page for the distinction.
Will I always get an MP4?
No. MP4 encoding support varies. Auto chooses a supported format, and a browser without MP4 support records WebM. The first saved piece is checked for its container, and the download uses the matching extension. There is no hidden cloud conversion.
How long can I record?
Recordings stop at 60 minutes or earlier if a file or storage safety limit is reached. Compatible desktop browsers with direct file saving have an upper file limit of 512 MB; other browsers have 64 MB. Available browser storage can be lower. Download promptly, and split important long sessions into shorter takes.
Can I recover a recording after a refresh?
Already saved pieces can appear under Recent recordings in the same browser profile and site address. A crash or abrupt refresh can leave an incomplete file, so recovery is not guaranteed. Downloading is the most reliable way to keep the finished recording.
