About Screen & Sound

A clearer take starts before Record.

This recorder makes the audio decision visible: what you asked to capture, what the browser returned and whether a signal was heard.

Built for a simple recording task

Use it for a walkthrough, lesson, demonstration or quick explanation. Select a source, check sound for five seconds, record and keep the file on your own device. It requires a browser with screen capture and recording APIs; desktop Chrome or Edge is a practical starting point for Windows audio.

What the tool offers

Separate shared-audio and microphone meters, source mute controls, pause and resume, a finished-video preview for smaller files, direct downloads and local recovery of pieces already saved. It does not add a watermark or require an account.

Honest browser boundaries

The browser controls available capture sources, audio tracks, encoding support and storage quota. This tool does not promise universal system audio, unlimited recording, a guaranteed MP4 or guaranteed crash recovery. Limits are shown before use and explained in the saving guide.

A short recording is the best way to check your setup. Review the sound and downloaded file before an important session.
